Labtrix® Start is supplied with two syringe pumps as standard, enabling the use of reagent inputs at two independently controlled flow rates. Through the purchase of supplementary pump lines, it is also possible to upgrade Labtrix® Start to enable each reagent input to be controlled independently. In addition to the syringe pump, each ‘Extra Pump Line’ option comes with all PEEK connections required to supply an additional reagent feed to the Labtrix® reactor holder (i.e. tubing, luer fittings and check valves) fully assembled and tested.

Operating under a pre-set back pressure of 20 bar, the Labtrix® Start system has no pressure measurement as standard. Employing the optional ‘Pressure Meter Set’, system pressure can be measured in-line by positioning the hand-held pressure meter either ahead of the reactor or before the back pressure regulator. In addition, the ‘Pressure Meter Set’ can be used to check the pressure setting of the back pressure regulator via direct connection to a Labtrix® Start pump line or can be used in conjunction with the ‘Catalyst Reactor (3026)’ to determine the pressure drop over the packed-bed and/or to monitor system pressure as a function of flow rate and temperature.
The set comes complete with a hand-held pressure gauge, PEEK adapter, T-piece and PEEK tubing to allow direct connection into a standard Labtrix® Start fluid line.

To enable the use of the ‘Catalyst Reactor’ within Labtrix®-S1 and Labtrix® Start systems, a ‘Catalyst Set’ is required to upgrade the micro reactor holder to accommodate the reactor (Reactor to be purchased separately).
The ‘Catalyst Set’ includes a holder cover plate and reactor plug which allows the existing Labtrix®-S1/Start inlay block to be upgraded for the performance of heterogeneously catalysed reactions. In addition to the ‘Catalyst Set’, Labtrix® Start requires a ‘Pressure Meter Set’.
